New Athens Township Police Chief Dan Thomas was sworn in last week.
Thomas is replacing longtime chief Roger Clink, who announced his retirement in January.
The Athens Township Supervisors honored Clink for his long law enforcement career by declaring April 8th as Roger Clink Day.
Clink had served in the Athens Township Police Department since 1992.
