President Donald Trump has endorsed Valley native and current Pennsylvania State Treasurer Stacy Garrity in her bid for governor.
Garrity is currently the only candidate running for the Republican nomination and is backed by the state party.
Once she’s officially nominated in May, she will take on incumbent Democratic Gov. Josh Shapiro in the general election in November.
In his endorsement of Garrity, President Trump called her a highly respected and very popular state treasurer.
Trump said that Garrity will work to grow the economy, cut taxes and regulations, champion American energy dominance, keep our border secure and more.
