The Sayre Borough Council approved its 2026 budget on Wednesday.
According to the Morning Times, the council unanimously passed the $9.6 million dollar spending plan during their latest meeting. There were no public comments before the vote.
The budget will keep the property tax millage rate steady at 14.5 mills.
The borough is expected to hire a new full-time police officer as well as a code enforcement officer to prepare for an expected retirement.
