The Waverly VFW will host its annual Tailgate Party fundraiser for local animal shelters this weekend.
The event will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. at the VFW, located at 206 Broad Street in Waverly. All proceeds will go to the Animal Care Sanctuary and Luke’s Hidden Haven.
The cost is $5 at the door or a dish to pass.
There will be basket raffles with sports memorabilia and other items, as well as a 50-50 raffle and live music from The Songbird.
Choice 102 will broadcast live from the event starting at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
