Two people from the Town of Colesville are under arrest by the Broome County Sheriff ’s Office, following a pursuit. Police were investigating a felony level Violation of Probation, when they found Kenneth Boyd, Jr. sitting in a vehicle in the Town of Fenton. When police approached the vehicle, Boyd fled in his pickup truck. The pursuit went through Colesville and then to Chenango County, then back to Colesville. During the pursuit, a deputy was able to deploy a set of Stop Sticks deflating the two front tires of the truck. Boyd refused to exit the vehicle and struggled with deputies. He had to be tased before police were able to take him into custody. A passenger in the vehicle attempted to get into the driver’s seat in an attempt to flee, however she was taken into custody before doing so. Both Boyd and the passenger were arraigned at the Broome County Jail. Boyd was remanded to the Broome County Jail to await further action in Broome County Court. The passenger was released on her own recognizance and directed to appear in the Town of Fenton Court at a later time. No one was injured.
