Athens Rise and Shine Community Center to hold ‘Sweet Day’ goodies to-go fundraiser

Saturday, February 13, the Rise and Shine Community Center in Athens is holding a fundraiser called Sweet Day. Preprepared plates with a mix of homemade and store-bought goodies will be available to-go from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Plates can be ordered online via Eventbrite (www.eventbrite) with a keyword search of Sweet Day Fundraiser or via the Center’s Facebook page. The price is $4.00 by February 10 and then $5.00 thereafter. Cash at the door will also be accepted.

Don’t miss out, as quantities are limited. Pre-ordering is recommended.

The Rise and Shine Community Center is located at 411 S. Main St., Athens, PA, and serves the Twin Tiers communities of New York and Pennsylvania. Offering classes, lectures, meeting space, and activities. The center is an easy way to stay engaged with your neighbors. Your support is critical to keep our doors open Without your funding, we won’t be able to offer education and fun as the Center runs on donations.

The Rise and Shine Community Center is a nonprofit organization, organized and operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the “Code”), advancing the health and welfare of residents of the Twin Tiers region of Pennsylvania and New York by providing training, educational programs, and other enriching activities in a community gathering space and by engaging in other activities that provide additional support for and empower those in need.
