An entire school bus has been filled with food for the needy, thanks to a month-long food drive by Feed the Bus for CHOP, in loving memory of Jaymz Altieri. The Liz Terwilliger for Congress is inviting members of the community to join us for the finale of the food drive.
With the support of the community, the group was able to meet the extraordinary goal of filling an entire school bus with non-perishable food. Now, it’s time to deliver the bus load of food to Child Hunger Outreach Partners (CHOP) in Towanda. Event organizers and Liz Terwilliger will be on
hand to explain the drive effort.
A motorcycle escort for the bus is being arranged by Jaymz’ parents, Bethany and Jim Altieri. The effort has been named in remembrance of their son, Jaymz. The bus and escort are scheduled to leave from the parking lot of Chandler’s Market (448 N. Keystone Ave in Sayre) at 9:15am Saturday, October 9, 2021. They are scheduled to arrive at CHOP (2 Elizabeth St., Towanda) at 10am Saturday.
Volunteers, family, and friends will gather at CHOP to greet the bus and to help unload all the donated items into the CHOP warehouse. The Liz Terwilliger for Congress Committee invites volunteers to join us in unloading the bus so that the food can be prepared for distribution in our community.
Feed the Bus for CHOP, in loving memory of Jaymz Altieri, was a month-long food drive that took place in cooperation with businesses around Bradford County throughout the month of September, and the Liz Terwilliger for Congress Committee was excited to help them in this worthy effort. Liz Terwilliger, running as a Libertarian promotes the idea of volunteer efforts
throughout the district.
