Southern Tier law enforcement make felony arrests for drugs, firearms, burglary

Owego police arrested Joseph A. Alliger, 45, Scranton PA, for Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (B-Felony) and Criminal Possession of Methamphetamine in the Fourth Degree (C-Felony), following a Traffic Stop. Alliger was arraigned in Tioga County Centralized Arraignment Court by Town of Spencer Justice Homrighouse.

Owego police arrested Trista C Snodgrass, 28, Rome PA,for Criminal Possession of a Loaded Firearm in the Second Degree (C–Felony), following a traffic stop. Hazard was arraigned in Tioga County Centralized Arraignment Court by Justice Gorman of the Village of Waverly.

New York State Police at Binghamton arrested Jason C. Canfield Jr., 21, Johnson City, for felony of Burglary in the third degree. In March 2020, investigators received a report that The Polish Community Center on Prospect Street in the Town of Dickinson had been burglarized. Money was taken and damage was done to the center. An investigation led to the arrest of Canfield. He was arraigned and released.

Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Binghamton arrested Simon A. Braungard, 26, Windsor, on January 6, for the felony of Sexual Abuse in the first degree. Braungard was charged after an investigation revealed he forcibly subjected a victim to sexual contact during a domestic dispute that occurred on January 5. Braungard was arraigned and released.
