The funeral service for New York State Trooper Nicholas Clark was held Sunday at Alfred University. 4,000 members of law enforcement from all over the country attended. The American flag, draping Trooper Clark’s casket was presented to his family. A helicopter flyover followed the service. Trooper Clark was a graduate of Alfred University.
The State Trooper’s killer, 43-year-old Steven Kiley was a school principal in the Bradford Central School District. Kiley died of a self-inflicted gunshot to the head. Police revealed he also had been shot in the chest by police, and the wound would probably have been ultimately fatal. Police found 12 illegal firearms at Kiley’s home, including 8 assault rifles. Trooper Clark was killed by buckshot from Kiley’s 12-gauge shotgun.
