The New York State Republican Party has nominated Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro to run on the republican ticket for Governor this November. Former governor George Pataki introduced Molinaro. In his acceptance speech, Molinaro emphasized the importance of fighting corruption in Albany. Current New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, a democrat, is seeking reelection.
