New York’s Minimum Wage Increased on New Years Eve

An increase in the New York State minimum wage took effect on New Years Eve. In upstate New York the rate increases from $110.40 to $11.10. In New York city, employers of 11 or more people will implement a $15,00 per our minimum wage. Last week the New York State Department of Labor launched a public education campaign to raise awareness about the new minimum wage.
