Relief is coming to those who travel rough roads across New York State.  More than $100 million in state funding has been allocated to repave and repair roadways statewide.  84 projects will be completed totaling 1,000 miles of pavement across the state, including at least one project in every county and New York City.

In our area, some of the projects include: $2.3 million to resurface 38B from the Tioga County line to Route 38 in Newark Valley, $495,000 to resurface Route 26 from 38B to the Maine Memorial School in the Town of Maine, and $625,000 to resurface Route 17C from the western Village of Owego line to Glen Mary Drive in Owego.
