“Last year we laid out the most aggressive agenda in modern political history and we got it done,” said Cuomo. “This year we’ll build on that record of accomplishment and continue restoring confidence in government as a force for good. We’re going to set the bar even higher, making progress happen for the people of this great state and sending a signal to a weary country to follow New York as we lead the way upwards.”

Among almost three dozen proposals already unveiled by the governor is legislation that would ban all flavored nicotine vaping products including menthol flavors and vaping advertisements aimed at youth. The legislation would also propse the State Department of Health regulate the sale of chemicals used in vaping-related products and ban the sale of vaping product carrier oils deemed to be a public health risk. Finally, the legislation would prohibit the online, phone and mail order sale of e-cigarettes; only registered retailers would be allowed to purchase e-cigarettes using those methods.
