New York’s State Assembly Minority Leader was arrested New Year’s Eve following a vehicle crash in the Ontario County Town of Victor. Brian Kolb was charged with driving while intoxicated and making an unsafe turn.
Deputies said he was involved in a property damage collision and no injuries were reported. Kolb was driving his state-issued SUV at the time. He was processed at the county jail and was released on court tickets.
Kolb offered his sincere apologies to his family, friends and residents of the district. In a statement, Kolb said he made a wrong decision…and it one he deeply regrets.
Just last week he wrote a column warning citizens against getting behind the wheel drunk.
