A Painted Post man has been charged with second degree murder after the victim he allegedly attacked in the Town of Erwin on Tuesday died from their injuries.
State troopers responded to a report of a person being assaulted at around 5 p.m. on February 20 in the town of Erwin. Police found a 54-year-old victim with serious injuries. The victim was transported by helicopter to the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre.
Police arrested 59-year-old John N. Marvin II and originally charged him with second degree attempted murder and first degree assault. Those charges have been upgraded after the victim passed away from their injuries.
Police have not yet released the name of the victim.
