Sayre Superintendent Dr. Jill Daloisio has announced she will be resigning from her position effective on March 31.

Daloisio informed the school board and school employees through an email.

The Sayre Area School District hired Daloisio as superintendent in June of 2019.

Daloisio will be taking over as assistant superintendent of the Twin Valley School District in Elverson, Pennsylvania on April 1. The Twin Valley School Board unanimously approved the contract that will run through June 30, 2029 during their meeting on Monday.

Below is the email Daloisio sent to the Sayre Area School District staff and teachers:

Dear Sayre Employees,

I have notified the SASD Board of Directors of my resignation as Superintendent of Sayre Area School District, effective March 31, 2025.

This decision was not made lightly. It has been an honor to serve this district and contribute to its mission of providing quality education to the students we serve. Over the past five and a half years, I have been privileged to work alongside outstanding educators, dedicated staff, and community members who share a deep commitment to excellence in education.

While I am proud of our progress together, this is the right time for me to pursue new professional opportunities and personal goals.

I am committed to ensuring a smooth transition during this period. To maintain stability and continuity, I will work closely with the Board and District Leadership to provide support and guidance as needed and requested.

I am profoundly grateful for the relationships and experiences I have had in the Sayre Area School District, and I am confident that the District will continue to thrive.

Respectfully,

Jill
