A 65th Tioga County resident has died from Covid-19 since mid-March 2020. Tioga County Legislature Chairwoman Martha Sauerbrey said the deceased was a Tioga resident who died Saturday, January 30, while an inpatient at UHS. Sauerbrey said: “It is often hard to find the right words at a time like this. May the family and friends of the departed find peace and comfort in the days to come.”
Tioga Public Health reports the county’s vaccine supply is VERY LIMITED. Vaccine allocations and eligibility are determined by New York State. Please be patient. NYS has modified ‘where to go’ vaccine sites to align with priority population assignments. Eligibility determines site.
Seniors are directed to visit the NYS eligibility website. Other priority populations should contact designated sites. Keep checking our website for detailed information, which is updated regularly.
