Obituary
Mr. Francis Michael Richart, 69, of Dushore, PA, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026, after a lingering illness.
Frank was born March 5, 1957, in Towanda, PA, a son of the late Francis Thomas Richart and Eunice Eileen Karge Richart. He graduated from the Sullivan County High School, a member of the class of 1975.
He graduated from University of Scranton in 1979 with Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services.
He retired as a case worker for the PA Department of Human Services in Laporte, PA after over 30 years of service.
Frank enjoyed visiting with family and friends on The Horseshoe (Dushore RD). He loved to go camping and traveling with friends. He liked to go to flea markets and farmers’ markets. He enjoyed cooking. Frank had a huge collection of fine hats which he enjoyed wearing at events. He also loved his favorite cat, Sebastian Baby.

A Transferal Service will be held on Friday, October 2nd, 2026, at 10:30 A.M. from the Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA., and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA at 11:00 AM with his pastor the Rev. Bert S. Kozen, presiding. Interment will be in Peace Cemetery, Dushore, PA.
Friends and family may call at the Homer Funeral Home on Friday morning October 2, 2026, from 9:00 AM to the time of the transferal.
The family will provide the flowers and request that memorial contributions be directed to the Friends of the Sullivan County Library, PO Box 485, Dushore, PA 18614
