Melissa Ann Williams, age 38, of Laceyville, PA, who had an energetic soul with lots of love, died Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre.
She was born November 13, 1987, in Tunkhannock, the daughter of Mary Sue Durland of Meshoppen and the late Terry Stephen Williams Sr.
Melissa graduated from Wyalusing Valley High School with the class of 2006. She enjoyed playing flute and violin and was a cheerleader. She was a loving mother who enjoyed gardening, painting, music, movies, and cats.
She is survived by her children, Rhiley and Gage; her mother; her siblings, Terry Williams Jr., Logan Durland, Jessica Williams, and Gabrielle Davis; her grandparents, William Henry and Gloria Durland and Jessie Williams; and extended family. She was preceded in death by her father, her grandfather Roger Williams, her uncle Dell Williams, and her aunt Patricia Williams.
A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 5:00 PM at Sheldon Funeral Homes, 459 Main Street, Laceyville, with Reverend Helen Learn officiating. Family and friends may call from 3:00 PM until the time of service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Community Bank in Laceyville to help establish a fund for her children.
