Mildred L. Moyer ,age 93, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 19, 2026. She died peacefully in her home, and has now received “her inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for her.” (1 Peter 1:4)
Born in Harleysville, PA to Linford and Susan Landis, she was the first in her family to go to college. She graduated from Goshen College with a music education degree and soon after married Marvin Moyer on June 25, 1960. They went on to have 3 children, Jennifer, Thomas and Stefan.
She is survived by her 3 children and their spouses, her 12 grandchildren, and her 7 great grandchildren.
Mildred was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed music and played the piano for many years, including often at church functions. She also did knitting, sewing, rug braiding, canning, freezing, and lots of other homestead activities at the Moyer farm in Owego, NY, where she and her husband lived for 61 years.
She is predeceased by her husband, with whom she shared 65 years of marriage. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Beulah and Naomi Landis and her brother Clyde Landis.
Services and burial will take place on the Moyer Family Farm, Lainhart Rd., in Owego on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at 2:00PM. Please share your memories of Mildred by visiting the guestbook section.
