State Senator Fred Akshar continued his district-wide “Akshar’s All-Stars” student recognition program by recognizing students at four Tioga County schools – Tioga Central, Waverly, Spencer Van-Etten and Candor. Each month, Akshar recognizes local students selected by their school districts, who have shown great leadership, compassion, school spirit or improvement amongst their peers. For each student recognized as an “Akshar All-Star”, Senator Akshar presents them with a t-shirt, framed certificate and a challenge coin. The students recognized were:
1) Senior Benjamin Coddington of Tioga Central High School
2) Junior Kaleigh Akins of Waverly High School
3) Senior Daniel Snowman of Spencer-Van Etten High School, and
4) Junior Camille Brock of Candor High School.
