Maine-Endwell’s Audrey Higgins is as accomplished an artist as you can be for a high school senior, having won awards at the local and state level for her painting, “Folded.” Now, she can add playwright’s muse to her accomplishments.
KNOW Theatre Binghamton has chosen Audrey’s award-winning piece to be the inspiration for a featured performance in the Theatre’s 15th Annual Playwright’s & Artists Festival.
The play will be produced and then performed in November 2019 during the festival. In addition to the performance, Audrey will join the playwright, composer, actors and directors on stage following the show to discuss her art.
“Folded” has won several awards this year including a Gold Key in the 2019 New York/Pennsylvania Scholastic Art Awards program and the “Best Use of Medium” in the Broome County High Schools’ 2019 Emerging Artists Competition & Exhibition sponsored by The Broome County Arts Council.
