Maine-Endwell High School Social Studies Teacher, Rachel Murat, was named a 2019 New York State Teacher of the Year finalist by the NYS Board of Regents. Murat was one of three educators honored by State Education Commissioner Mary Ellen Elia at the Board of Regents Sept. 18 meeting held at the State Education Building in Albany. This is Murat’s 23rd year as a teacher. She currently teaches AP Government and Politics, US History, Participation in Government, and Digital Citizenship.
