A Sayre man remains in jail this morning after Athens police charged him with felony strangulation. That counts was filed against 24-year-old Michael Jones. Police also charged him with simple assault, harassment with physical contact and disorderly conduct. Arraigned in court, he was remanded to jail. Bail was set at $50,000. A preliminary hearing will be held February 5th.
