Cortland School District Bus Hit with Object, No One Hurt

An unknown object hit a Cortland School District bus this morning shortly after 7 a.m. Officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office began investigating an incident that occurred at approximately 7:15 AM on Page Green Road near the intersection with Starr Road in the Town of Cortlandville. Officers from the Cortland City Police Department were initially called by the Cortland City School District to investigate.


The investigation revealed that their school bus window was struck by an unknown object. The tempered glass window did remain intact and it is not believed at this time that the object ever entered the cabin of the bus.


No students were injured during this incident and there is no cause to believe that any of the students in the Cortland Schools are in any danger at this time.


This investigation is still ongoing.
