The New York State Office of General Services has announced the sale of the former Chateaugay Correctional Facility in Franklin County at public auction for $600,000. The purchaser, Adar Investment Inc. of Canada, would like to see the property used as a summer camp. The 99-acre property is located approximately six miles south of the Canadian border. There were nine registered bidders at the auction, which was held at the Chateaugay Town Hall.
