On Monday, the New York State Police arrested 19-year-old Devin Austen, of Newfield, for felony Criminal Possession of Stolen Property and Offering a False Instrument for Filing. Austen is alleged to have stolen a vehicle in July from Jayz Auto Repair in Newfield and then scrapping the vehicle a few days later. Austen was remanded to the Tompkins County Jail on $5,000 bail.
