Elmira showed its creativity Saturday with the Street Painting Festival, welcoming many local artists to create their own chalk masterpieces in the downtown.
The colorful event also featured a variety of live music on Wisner Stage as well as craft and food vendors.
Cash prizes were up for grabs for the best chalk artists.
“What an incredible day filled with color, creativity, and community!” Elmira Downtown Development said in a Facebook post following the event. “Thank you to every artist who turned our downtown streets into vibrant masterpieces — your talent left us in awe and brought so much life to Elmira.”
Organizers also thanked the musicians, vendors, volunteers and everyone who took part in the event.
