Yesterday at about 6AM, the Ithaca SWAT Team served a search warrant on Aisha Smith in her residence on Stewart Avenue. The Ithaca Police Department and Tompkins County Sheriffs’ Department served the warrant, which authorized them to search Smith and her residence. Officers found a handgun and a quantity of heroin that later tested positive for the presence of fentanyl. Smith was arrested and charged with felony Criminal Possession of a Weapon and felony Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. Smith was remanded to the Tompkins County Jail.
