On Feb. 22 at approximately 1:08 a.m., New York State Police at Ithaca arrested Courtney L. Coffin related to an incident with a knife at a recovery center in Tompkins County. Coffin, age 30 of Lee, NY, was charged with misdemeanor menacing in the second degree.
Troopers were dispatched to a reported altercation at Cayuga Addiction Recovery in Trumansburg, Town of Ulysses. After an investigation, troopers determined Coffin threatened another resident with a pair of scissors. A verbal altercation allegedly occurred between Coffin and the other resident several minutes earlier. Cofgin was arrested and arraigned in Town of Ulysses Court where she was remanded to the Tompkins County jail on $750 cash bail or $1,500 bond.
