The Chop Out Hunger Holiday Basketball Tournament will be held today (Monday, Dec. 29) and tomorrow (Tuesday, Dec. 30) in Athens.
The boys tournament will feature Athens, Candor, Tioga and Avoca-Prattsburgh, while the girls field include Athens, Candor, Tioga and Owego for varsity. Corning will replace Tioga and Horseheads will replace Candor in the girls’ junior varsity tournament.
Today’s action will begin with junior varsity games at 11 am.
The varsity semifinals will begin at 2:30 when the Owego girls take on Candor.
The Candor boys will then take on Avoca-Prattsburgh at 4:15. Finally, it will be a back to back games featuring Athens and Tioga with the girls game starting at 6 and the boys at 7:30.
The Athens-Tioga games will be broadcast live on Choice 102 and the My Hometown Today app.
