Elmira native Johnny Beecher scored his first goal of the NHL season on Monday.
In a 4-3 loss to Florida, Beecher provided the Boston Bruins the early 1-0 lead with his goal. He would also add an assist later in the game.
Beecher is currently in his second NHL season with the Bruins. He has one goal and three assists on the year.
The Bruins will return to the ice on Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. against the Colorado Avalanche on TNT.
