NEB softball punches ticket to state semifinals

The Northeast Bradford softball squad is heading to the state semifinals.

The Lady Panthers pulled off a 4-3 win over Dock Mennonite in the PIAA Class A quarterfinals in Hazelton on Thursday.

Kiarra DeLancey provided the walk-off RBI hit for the Panthers in the bottom of the seventh to secure the big win.

This is the first time Northeast Bradford has made the state semifinals since 2013 and the third time in program history.

Northeast will face undefeated District 6 champion Claysburg-Kimmel in the state semifinals on Monday. The time and location have not been announced at this time.
