The L, G & T Tennis Challenger is underway at Recreation Park in Binghamton. The men’s tennis event often includes very accomplished players and young talents. The rain affected Wednesday’s schedule with only one match completed. 19-year-old Jay Clarke of the United Kingdom won his first round match against Yunseong Chun of Korea in straight sets. Clarke played at Wimbledon a few weeks ago, losing to Latvian star Earnests Gulbis. Another entrant, 32-year-old Marcel Granollers of Spain, made the semi finals of the ATP tournament in Newport Rhode Island last weekend. He is the second seed in Binghamton his first round match is today.
