Towanda coach Bill Sexton now stands alone in the Pennsylvania high school wrestling history books.
Sexton earned his 768th career win when the Towanda Black Knights rolled to a 48-27 win over Central Columbia on Tuesday evening.
The legendary Towanda coach broke a tie with former Ridley coach Carl Schnellenbach, who won 767 matches in a 54-year coaching career.
Sexton has been leading the Towanda program for 46 years. Following the historic win on Tuesday, he was joined on the mat by current and former wrestlers, coaches and his family.
