Troy graduate and Lehigh wrestler Sheldon Seymour made history over the weekend in Philadelphia.
Seymour reached the 125-pound semifinals at the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships on Friday with an incredible 3-2 overtime win over top-seeded Luke Lilledahl in the quarterfinals.
In the semifinals, Seymour dropped a hard-fought decision to NC State’s Vincent Robinson.
Seymour would go on to finish sixth in the nation at 125 pounds, becoming the first Division I All-American from the Northern Tier League since Athens’ Paul Keysaw won a national championship back in 1991.
