The Waverly Wolverines punched their ticket to the Section IV Class B championship game with a 64-49 win over visiting Lansing on Tuesday night.
Waverly led just 27-24 at halftime, but would break open the game with a huge second half – including a buzzer-beating three-pointer from Bryce LaForest at the end of the third quarter.
Porter Dadonna had a huge game on the inside for Waverly, finishing with 21 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and two blocked shots, while Hogan Shaw had 21 points, three rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block in the win.
The second-seeded Wolverines will now play No. 1 Dryden in the Section IV Class B Championship game on Sunday in Binghamton.
