LeRoy Kemp and Karen Hand Honored at EMS Ceremony in Albany

Three emergency medical services professionals who died in the line of duty were honored in a Wednesday ceremony at the New York State’s EMS Memorial in Albany.
Honored from this area were LeRoy Kemp of Barton and Karen Hand, who headed the Broome County Volunteer Emergency Squad.
Leroy Kemp died in January, 2010 in an accident, while responding to a call.
Karen Hand suffered cardiac arrest, also in January 2010, while on a call.
Also honored will be Paul Bazinet of Glens Falls, who had cardiac arrest while responding to a call.
