The Owego-Apalachin School district has rescheduled the second of its budget forums. It was originally going to be this Thursday, now it will take place today instead. This forum is designed to get input and ideas from members of the public and share them with district officials. The first forum, in January, was for parents of O-A school children. Superintendant Dr. Bill Russell is scheduled to present a budget for the 2013-2014 school year to the Board in early March. The O-A Board of Education has to adopt a budget the second week in April. It will then go before the public in a hearing on May 1st and voters get to have their say on May 21st. Tonight’s budget forum will be held in the LGI at Owego Free Academy at 7 pm.
