A Spencer man is facing two counts of stalking. 45-year-old Edward Merrick was arrested after he was accused of painting messages on a woman’s house and vehicle, according to the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office. Merrick was also charged with trespassing. He is accused of sending unwanted gifts to the woman in question after deputies specifically advised him to have no further contact with her. He was arraigned in the Town of Candor Court and sent to Tioga County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail or $100,000 bond.
