Just six days away from school budget voting, the Union-Endicott district presented its budget one final time on Tuesday. U-E officials say their goal for the $74 million budget is to relieve, restore, and reserve. The district looks to relieve taxpayers with a tax levy at 2.04 percent, 1.5 percent lower than their maximum limit. The district was helped with more than $3 million in state grant money to reimburse losses from the reassessment of the Huron Campus. U-E also is looking to restore programs and teachers that were once cut back in the past. The final vote will take place on May 21st.
