Binghamton Schools are considering changes to the district’s code of conduct. The school board held a public hearing Tuesday night to discuss the proposals. The code of conduct applies to all students, school personnel, parents, and visitors on school property. The proposed updates reflect changes to what the district considers bullying and how it moves forward with cases of bullying. The district is also looking to stop students at the high school from wearing visors, hoods, or any headgear that blocks the face or eyes from view during the school day, with the exception of anything worn for religious reasons. The board will vote on a resolution to accept the changes at their meeting on June 18th.
