A mother and her two children suffered minor injuries after a crash in the town of Chenango Tuesday. According to the Broome County Sheriff’s Office, a bee flew into a van driven by 30-year-old Emily Beston, on Brontzman Road, causing her to lose control of the vehicle and hit a NYSEG utility pole head on. Beston, along with her 3-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son, were transported to Wilson Hospital with minor injuries. Investigators said airbags and child safety seats helped keep the family safe. The Broome County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Chenango Ambulance and Chenango Bridge Fire Department.
