The Windsor Central School District is the latest to announce a capital project which will be voted on next month. The district is looking for the public’s approval on a $15.98 million improvement project and a $400,000 school bus replacement initiative. The capital project would include preventative maintenance to district facilities and a building condition survey required by the state. The upgrades would look to fix electrical, lighting, fire alarm, and plumbing issues, as well as upgrades to class rooms in the middle and high schools. State building aid would cover almost 86 percent of the costs, and the district would use close to $800,000 from its capital reserves to offset much of the cost for taxpayers.
