Fire investigators say they cannot determine what caused the fire in Richford last week that took the life of a young boy. On January 7th, fire crews responded to 9266 West Creek Road around 12:30 for the fire. The Tioga County Fire Bureau was able to determine that the fire had started in the master bedroom, but the damage to the home was too severe to pinpoint exactly what sparked the flames. William and Leanna Hulse and their two daughters were able to escape the blaze, but their 4-year-old son, Trent, did not survive.
