A Windsor man was assaulted after he let two men enter his home when they asked to use the phone. 56-year-old Ken Birdsill let two men in his home at 941 State Route 79 around 4 o’clock Wednesday afternoon. The one intruder allegedly punched Birdsill in the face repeatedly, while the other smashed an icicle over his head. State Police said that the two men also held a knife to Birdsill’s throat and demanded drugs and money. The two men were able to get away with about $80 in cash and prescription pain medication. State Troopers are now currently on the lookout for the two men, and are describing them as white, and in their late teens or early twenties. The one man is said to have long brown hair and stands about six feet tall, with the other having short blonde hair standing 5 feet eight inches. Anyone with information on the incident should contact the State Police’s Kirkwood barracks at 775-1241.
