Tonight is the final meeting to discuss the Binghamton School District’s capital project. The school has plans to add to its security, including security systems at all of the district’s ten schools, which could be added as early as this fall. Renovations would also be a part of the project, with most of the construction eligible for state aid. If passed, the current plan calls for no additional taxes, but the district would use money from its capital reserve. The meeting will be held at seven o’clock tonight at the Columbus School. A vote is scheduled for March 17th, and a 60 percent approval is required in order for the vote to pass.
