A Deposit man was sent to the hospital during a house fire on Sunday. Crews were called to the home at 39 Elm Street just after 9 a.m. A family of eight was living in the home at the time of the fire. The man who owned the home was sent to the hospital after being burned on his hands and feet. Four departments were battling the fire with two departments on standby. Strong winds kept rekindling the flames just as fast as firefighters could put them out. There is no word on the condition of the man who was sent to the hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
