A separate crash near Whitney Point sent one driver to the hospital Tuesday afternoon. Also around 2:30 Tuesday, a woman flipped her car on Interstate 81 south, about one mile south of Exit 8. She was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Her vehicle was the only one involved in the incident, and according to reports from New York state police, the vehicle flew off the road and landed on its side. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
