The Broome County Sheriff’s Office was called to a car verses school bus motor vehicle accident on Smith Hill Road in the town of Chenango yesterday morning. Deputies said Katarina Stockton of Conklin was driving north on Smith Hill Road when she lost control of the vehicle on a curve and entered the south bound lane. She then struck a Harpursville school bus head on. Deputies said when they arrived the students were already off the bus and none appeared to be injured. Both vehicles sustained major damage and were towed away.
